You will be welcomed by a wonderful surgical staff, and they will begin the pre-op intake. Bring all prescribed medication and walking shoes/boots with you on the day of surgery. After surgery, you will be placed in the walking boot/shoe to go home. Dr. Cowans will meet you prior to the surgery to answer any last-minute questions and prepare you for the procedure at hand. He will meet with your family before surgery to inform them about the procedure and after for a post-surgery update. During the entire procedure, Dr. Cowans will ensure you are comfortable and make the process as easy as possible.
